10 Pin Bowling - Sport

Found a love for 10 Pin bowling just before the pandemic. I found it enjoyable and entertaining way to spend time with friends or by myself. Bowling is also a great way to relieve stress and have fun while being active. It is a sport that can be enjoyed by people of all ages and skill levels, and it provides a great opportunity to socialize and meet new people - this is one of the reasons why I love it, it's inclusive! With the variety of different balls and accessories available, its always an evolving sport.

Minecraft Parks - MCParks

During the pandemic in late 2019, I had found a Minecraft server in my list that I never got around to visiting. Gladly I did and I have since joined an absolutely wonderful communtiy which has provided life long friends and skills. I have been volunteering since 08/10/2020 and it has been the best journey yet. I have the fabulous positions of Guest Relations, Imagineer, Parks Experience - Pixel Artist and the specialised Drone technician.

Badminton - Sport

I have been playing badminton as a pasttime for many years but only recently joined a club where I play tournaments and competitions (I'm not the best) for fun. I make myself go and play these tournaments to challenge myself and put me out of my comfort zone.

Ranting Lads - Podcast

I run and host a podcast called 'Ranting Lads' with one of my old highschool friends, it is a show where we champion debate and free speech whilst we deliver a light-hearted take on the weekly news and headlines to young listners. The show is meant to inspire the younger generation to make a voice for themselves and to present confidence in this changing world.

We are the frontline team that makes sure the Guests are enjoying their stay. Imagineer

I'm part of the Imagineer team who work to construct the parks and resorts of the server. By leveraging satellite imagery on Google Earth, blueprints, photos, videos, and more combined with precise measuring and trigonometry to ensure that the parks are properly built to a 1:1 scale). Everything from the rides, paths, restaurants, shops, and even bathrooms are painstakingly layed out for accuracy’s sake.

Drone Technician

A specialised position in which I fufilled for MCParks, the need for a drone technician to create modern drone light shows for events and daily shows. When MCParks presented the need for the role, I instantly offered my services as the position required the skills of 3d modelling and 3d space navigation, I was very suited for the role as my background of CAD and CAM with my knowledge in the software Blender 3D, allowed me to create drone shows effectively and creatively. I self taught myself the additional drone control software in my free time and combined all my knowledge to create the shows. I relayed this with MCParks to create our own software to display these shows in the Minecraft Game. This transferable skill shows my dedication to always be learning something new.

Pixel Artist

I'm part of the Pixel Artist team at MCParks, we recreate real life signs and media in the form of the pixel art style. A very time consuming task as we lay out and colour each pixel by hand. This is done as each pixel on a piece relays a large amount of emotion and story telling of the whole art piece.
